IMPORTANT: All defense representatives who appear at an asbestos conference and submit an appearance sheet must document their appearance correctly for the minutes of hearing. If you appeared, your name should be on the appearance sheet. If you are not the handling attorney, you should indicate that on the sheet, but do not identify the handling attorney as the person who appeared.
IMPORTANT: All remote hearings are conducted using the CourtCall video platform. A directory of all judges’ CourtCall virtual courtroom links may be found on the DWC web site. Parties are required to appear via video and be dressed for court.
MARK YOUR CALENDARS: the next San Francisco WC Bench & Bar Boot Camp class is scheduled for July 28, 2026. The classes meet in the San Diego Room at the State Building. Contact Judge Gogerman if you would like to be included on the Boot Camp email list.

Requests to go off calendar or continue a conference must be submitted by the end of the preceding week.
There are no asbestos conferences on the afternoon of the first and third Wednesday of each month.
Note to defendants: if you are seeking dismissal based on alleged lack of employment, coverage, or injurious exposure, your petition will not be acted on without a hearing unless all parties waive opposition in writing.
